Information

When you’re working with parts that need regular dismantling – retention of bearings on shafts and in housings, for example – try LOCTITE® 641. This medium-strength anaerobic retaining compound cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration.
  • Prevents fastener loosening on vibrating assemblies, e.g. pumps, gear boxes or presses
  • Works on all metals, including passive substrates
  • Suitable for use on most oil-coated, 'as-received' fasteners without cleaning
  • Can be disassembled with ordinary hand tools for easy service and maintenance
  • NSF/ANSI 61 certified
  • Ideal for heavy duty applications, such as studs into motor housings, where high strength is required
  • Prevents fastener loosening and leakage from shock and vibration
  • Permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners - removable with heat
  • Requires heat for disassembly
  • High temperature performance (up to 182°C / 360°F) and oil tolerance
  • Ideal for shafts, gears, pulleys and similar cylindrical parts
  • Operating temperature: -55°C to 230°C (-65°F to 450°F)
  • Ideal for shafts, gears, pulleys and similar cylindrical parts
  • High-strength on all metals, including passive substrates (e.g. stainless steel)
  • High temperature resistance
  • Fluorescent under UV for quality control
  • KIWA GASTEC QA AR 214 certified for hydrogen gas systems
  • Medium-strength for ease of disassembly
  • Ideal for parts that need frequent servicing
  • Secondary cure with activator
  • Works on active and passive substrates without primer
  • High-strength and oil resistance
  • Temperature resistant up to 180°C (355°F)
  • Fluorescent under UV for quality control
  • Low viscosity
  • High viscosity
  • Ideal for use with worn parts without re-machining
  • Registered to NSF Category P1
  • Suitable for retaining shims
  • Gap fill of 0.25 mm - 0.5 mm (0.01" - 0.02")
  • General-purpose structural bonder
  • Bonds metal to metal
  • Fixture time of < 3 minutes
  • Thixotropic for ease of application
  • Temperature resistance up to 120°C (248°F)
  • Multipurpose, multi-substrate structural bonder
  • Good impact resistance
  • Bonds dissimilar substrates
  • Activator required for cure
  • Non-corrosive
  • Bonds metal to metal
  • High temperature, chemical and environmental resistance
  • High shear and impact strength
  • Ultra-performance adhesive providing resistance up to 135°C (275°F) and fast fixture
  • ISO-10993 biocompatible
  • Ideal for quick repairs and high speed production applications
  • Unique, patented formula with reduced hazardous ingredients
  • Assembles difficult-to-bond materials using LOCTITE SF 770 or SF 7701 primer
  • Industrial instant adhesive
  • Bonds acidic surfaces
  • For difficult-to-bond materials
  • Medium viscosity
  • Formulated to provide flexible bondlines
  • Assembles difficult-to-bond plastics when LOCTITE SF 7701 primer used
  • Low viscosity
  • ISO-10993 biocompatible
  • Ideal for bonding porous or absorbent materials, e.g. paper, leather and fabrics
